People read about the awful conditions that livestock animals have to endure and wonder why these animals can't be treated better. You have to remember that because so many poeple eat so much meat, the demand is really high. These factories set up a system which kills as many animals as possible as quickly as possible to keep up with this demand. The less meat you eat, the less need there will be for these inhumane places to exist.
