People who love meat often justify their position by bringing up the "food chain". According to them, the food chain dictates that we have the right to eat meat - that it's the "natural way of things". This is really stupid. Animals who eat other animals don't have a choice. They follow their instincts. Humans were given a mind, which if they're lucky, they can use to move beyond the level of animals. But it seems many humans are more than happy to lower themselves to the level of "instincts", instead of using their minds to break free of these.
